Photographing Faces


A fun and practical course for digital photographers to enhance your portrait skills. Learn how to capture your family, children, pets and loved ones using available light and natural poses. Tips are provided for digital enhancement, plus how to best archive your digital images and preserve them for future generations.

OUTLINE
This course will include:

  • A short technical review of the basics of Beginners & Intermediate
  • Design techniques to ensure effective portraits
  • Communication techniques – talking to your subjects is half the challenge
  • Sessions cover theory, practical and review.

THINGS TO KNOW
The course is oriented towards DSLRs and compacts with manual settings (P, A, S, M).

Knowledge of your camera as covered in ‘Get the Most out of your Digital Camera’ or ‘Practical Photography’ - Beginners and Intermediate is required for this course.

Please bring your digital camera, lenses, camera accessories, tripod, camera instruction manual, 2GB memory card, fully charged batteries, notebook and pen.
